Ellen advises asking yourself what you'd do if no one knew or judged you, emphasizing the need to strip away others' expectations. She also provides practical advice on identifying transferable skills from previous roles. Often, skills we undervalue in our current roles can be highly transferable to new, exciting opportunities. She encourages asking trusted friends and colleagues for their perspectives on your CV.
